Pastor Damion Sneed

Pastor Damion A. Sneed was born September 13, 1977 and is a native of Dayton, Ohio.  He is the proud husband of Jennifer Michelle and father of Soteria Damia, Jeremiah Damion, and Karis Danielle.

Pastor Sneed accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 12 and was called into the gospel ministry at the age of 23, under Reverend Lloyd Hayes of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio in July 2001.  He therein preached his first sermon on Sunday, September 2, 2001 from Mark 1:40-45 with the theme “The Ability of Christ”.

Prior to coming to First Baptist Church, Pastor Sneed served as the Pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Ironton, Ohio.  He is a graduate of Cedarville University, holding both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies, and a Master of Ministry.

In addition to serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church, Pastor Sneed also serves as Director of Christian Education of the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio, and currently serves with the Dayton Baptist Pastors and Ministers Union of Greater Dayton in the capacity of Vice President and Chair of the Education Committee.  He is also Vice President of Congress of Christian Education for the Western Union Baptist District Association of Ohio.

He is the author of “The Christian Life”, a 12 Lesson workbook with 3 versions for adults, teens, and kids to be used as a Sunday School and/or Bible Study Curriculum.

Pastor Sneed credits the Lord first and foremost for grace and the Lord’s providential hand upon his life.  His life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:15 “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
